I is for Inside Outside Verse (A-Z Challenge / NaPoWriMo #11)

NaPoWriMo #11
Write a poem that begins with the lasting thing
you remember someone saying to you.

My inside self and my outside self
are as different as can be

My outside self
confidently speaks about my writing ability
and believes the posted comments.

My inside self
is full of doubt listening to that small voice
telling me I’m fooling myself.

This form is called an Inside Outside verse.
Describes a person as they think others might see them

  1. Ah, the inner doubts of a writer. I fear insecurity will continue to pop up at the most unopportune times.

  5. This is so true of me as well. My wife tells me I'm a great writer but that voice in head always tells me no.
