I is for Inside Outside Verse (A-Z Challenge / NaPoWriMo #11)

NaPoWriMo #11
Write a poem that begins with the lasting thing
you remember someone saying to you.

My inside self and my outside self
are as different as can be

My outside self
confidently speaks about my writing ability
and believes the posted comments.

My inside self
is full of doubt listening to that small voice
telling me I’m fooling myself.

This form is called an Inside Outside verse.
Describes a person as they think others might see them

  1. Ah, the inner doubts of a writer. I fear insecurity will continue to pop up at the most unopportune times.

  2. Ah, yes. I know the feeling well. Nice to meet you!

  3. Love your I challenge. Heartfelt and beautiful words. Thanks for stopping by Writing with Debra and your nice comments.

  4. Lisa,
Congratulations to you on being my 200th follower. In honor of that, I am going to send you an autograph copy of Heavenly Humor for the Cat Lovers Soul. Please email my @ anngrayelliott1960@gmail with your info.

  5. This is so true of me as well. My wife tells me I'm a great writer but that voice in head always tells me no.

  6. You are a great writer Lisa, we can't all be wrong ! LOL !!
    Love this one too !!!
