You
decide
what to do.
It’s up to you
befuddled or not.
You must finally choose.
How will you reciprocate?
Will you in turn return the words
with a graceful and kind demeanor?
Or choose to conveniently stroll away?

Very firm and assertive and very nice to have read
ReplyDeleteI love this. The picture reminded me of a tree which led me to Christmas which made me think of choices made in the past. Just my ramblings.
ReplyDeletebeautiful shape...
ReplyDeletewell done.
Cleverly done. And the sentiments echo life's uncertainties.
ReplyDeleteYour assertive words match the shape; working up to the conclusion. Love it.
ReplyDeleteSometimes its good to think before returning a phrase, or just to simply walk away, good choices either way.
ReplyDeleteThe words built so nicely. I like the idea of reciprocity as a choice, even in the difficult times.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely piece-loved it!
ReplyDeleteon paper wings
Well both options are OK so don't sweat it. Curiously I found the tree/pyramid shape one of uncertainty as the decision became more difficult!
ReplyDeleteI'm always uneasy when I have to wait upon the uncertainties of a reply. I prefer situations where I can just make a plain statement, and leave it at that. Arrogant? Maybe! Me? Yes!
ReplyDeleteVery good poem.
To reciprocate or not - always a choice. Love the shape of this and the strength in the words.
ReplyDeleteit´s sometimes a choice...!
ReplyDeleteNice. I always find it hard to stroll away, yet sometimes the graceful words refuse to come!
ReplyDeleteThis poetry style reminds me of a nonet. I like how the words are building upon one another. It is bold and quite declarative. I enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you created it.. interesting ..and one can always choose..
ReplyDeleteOf your works, this one is my favorite, Lisa. it is honest, direct and even in the precise form, feels natural, not contrived. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHere is mine for the prompt:
