FIRE

"Remember, you are not here to play it safe. You are here to start fires."
Sera Beak.

This quote to me is a reminder that "playing it safe" is just that "safe". I don't believe that I was placed here in my current circumstance to take the easy road but rather to make a difference. That difference may be something as small as a smile or gesture to a stranger. I strive to see the best in people and encourage them to see the best in themselves. By supporting others in random kind ways I hope to "start a fire" in them to do the same. Just imagine the impact if each of us started fires in a positive direction in another. The power of that challenge would indeed have far reaching socially redeeming value.

Life is full of so many opportunities to move into action.
Life is full of so many chances to make a difference.
Life is full of so many reasons to reach beyond.
Life is full of so many times to take the extra step.

What will you do with "your" life?

  5. I love your philosophy and it was beautifully written. As it is said, "It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness". I so agree that we are here to reach out to each other and encourage each other on the journey. One random act of kindness is like a match touched to twig which in turn emblazens the bonfire and spreads warmth in all directions. Really nice post and take on the prompt!!
